What’s “hop”pening for Easter? The lowdown on events around town!
Are you wondering what Easter events are going on around town? Here’s a handy list that gives you the lowdown! There are lots to choose from (or you can do them all!):
SATURDAY, MARCH 28
BREAKFAST WITH THE BUNNY: Seatings at 9:30 and 11:00 am. Cranford Community Center, Cranford.
Tickets are $6 per person if purchased at Cranford Library or Periwinkle’s, and $7 per person if purchased online at www.cranfordjwc.com (note: parents must also purchase tickets). Sponsored by the Cranford Junior Woman’s Club, all proceeds benefit the CJWC Scholarship and General Philanthropic funds. Breakfast will be served. Kids can get pics with the Bunny, and make a craft!
EGG HUNT: 10:00am. Orange Ave School, Cranford.
Event is free. Sponsored by the Cranford Jaycees. In lieu of admission, the Jaycees are collecting NON-perishable food items (especially coffee, tea, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, canned meats, canned milk, snacks, breakfast items, juice boxes), to be donated to Cranford Family Care. The Bunny will be in attendance!
EGG HUNT: 10:00am. Forest Road Park, Fanwood.
Event is free. Meet the bunny, enter a jelly bean guessing contest, bunny drawing contest – bring your own bunny drawing to enter, egg decorating contest – bring your own decorated egg to enter!
EGG HUNT: 11:00am. Hanson Park, Springfield Ave. Cranford.
4th Annual Colin Maher Easter Egg Hunt. Tix $8 in advance, $10 after Mar 20. Registration can be done online, through email, through mail or on the day of the Event beginning at 10am. Proceeds to be donated to research and awareness of Ewing sarcoma pediatric bone cancer, through Georgetown University Hospital. The Bunny has been known to attend!
EGG HUNT: 11:00 am. Augustine Park Village Green, Scotch Plains.
Event is free. Face painting, tattoos, and the Easter bunny will be there!
After all Saturday’s activities, I hope the Bunny has a spa day planned ?
SUNDAY, MARCH 29
PANCAKE BREAKFAST WITH BUNNY: 7:00am- 12 noon. Cranford VFW, Cranford.
Tix: $5.00- child, $7.00 – adult, $20.00 – family. Pancake, eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, juice will be served. And the Bunny will be there, presumably loading up on carbs to restore his energy reserves. Proceeds to benefit the Cranford First Aid Squad.
SATURDAY, APRIL 4
EGG HUNT: 2:00 pm. Williams Nursery, Westfield.
Event is free. Kids can get pics with the Bunny. And grown-ups can pick up some Easter plants while you’re there.
SUNDAY, APRIL 5
EGG HUNT: 12:00 noon. Bowcraft Amusement Park, US 22 W, Scotch Plains.
Tix: $13.95 per person. Don’t have plans for Easter Sunday? Head to Bowcraft. Thousands of prize-filled eggs, and many with free ride tickets, and one special Golden Egg “Grand Prize”. This year, the Grand Prize is a Nintendo Wii.
