16 Prospect Wine Bar and Bistro – 16 Prospect Street, Westfield. 908.232.7320. www.16prospect.com.  Fun, bustling atmosphere with attentive, friendly staff. Live music nightly, and a full menu.

Happy Fox Taxi Service – Westfield. 908.451.1803. Covers Westfield and surrounding towns.

COFFEE

Rockin’ Joe’s – 5 Eastman Street, Cranford and 20 Prospect Street, Westfield. Local chain offering relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, great coffee.  Westfield location is much bigger and offers a full lunch menu.

Ahrre’s Coffee Roastery – 104 Elm Street, Westfield.  Superb selection.  On the pricey side but your inner coffee snob will thank you.  Besides fresh-brewed, they also sell by the pound and it can be ground for you while you wait. Friendly service.

Starbucks – Cranford and Westfield (Numerous locations. Drive-thru coming to North Ave in Cranford in early 2015).  Yes, I said drive-thru coming soon – a lifesaver for moms with screaming kids in the car! Other than that – it’s Starbucks. You know it.

Dunkin Donuts – Cranford and Kenilworth (Numerous locations). Ditto for DD! There is a drive-thru located on Route 22 in Hillside – for you moms driving around napping kids who need more time in the car ?
